RasGas is to commence its first major annual blood donation drive this year to coincide with World Blood Donor Day, which is internationally celebrated on June 14.
As part of the company’s on-going corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, the blood donation drive will be held over two days, reaching out to all employees, both at the Doha headquarters and Ras Laffan Industrial City.
The RasGas bi-annual blood donation drive primarily raises awareness on the role that blood donation plays in helping save lives and sharing the gift of life.
Blood donation is a key element of the company’s CSR programme and it promotes the core value of individuals volunteering for the benefit of the local community.
The Hamad Medical Corporation blood donation vehicle will be available at the RasGas administration building in Ras Laffan on June 17.
