Besides Qatar, the Ramez Group operates outlets in some other GCC states as well.
At a briefing yesterday, officials of Barwa Real Estate and Ramez International said that as per the agreement reached between the two groups, the latter will take on lease a three-storeyed 2,100 square metres standalone building at Barwa Village.
Ramez International will begin a shopping centre at the building soon after the holy month of Ramadan.
The proprietors of Ramez International said the three-storeyed building at Barwa Village, which used to house the administrative office of Waseef, the real estate and property division of the Barwa Real Estate, would soon be converted into a hypermarket.
“It is our pleasure to announce the starting of Ramez International’s shopping centre at Barwa Village, which will soon become a major feature of the country’s upcoming marketing location,” said Barwa Village director (operations) Khalifa al-Mohannadi.
The new shopping destination, he said, would offer diversified products and services to residents of the Village and shoppers.
Qatar manager of Ramez International, Hussain Ahmed al-Awaidh, disclosed that as part of his company’s expansion in Qatar, the group has identified many locations for its future operations and Barwa Village is one such destination. “We are keen to reach wherever there are customers,” he said.
Besides Al-Mohannadi, Barwa Real Estate communications director Hamad Rasheed al-Kuwari, manager (sales and leasing) Mohamed al-Hammadi and manager (Waseef) Essa al-Mannai also spoke on the occasion.
