Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels has announced that the group plans to launch two more five-star hotels in the heart of Doha’s historic Souq Waqif.

The group made the announcement while participating in the ongoing Arabian Travel Market, which is being held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Called Al Bidda and Al Jomrok, the hotels will be part of a collection of boutique properties - Arumaila, Musheireb, Al Mirqab, Al Najada and Al Jasra - that serve as popular stay and dining destinations for both visitors and residents in Qatar.

“Since we introduced the boutique concept in this style and manner to Qatar, the success we have experienced is remarkable. Today, we are thrilled to announce that we will be adding two more exciting locations to our collection of boutique hotels. Both Al Bidda and Al Jomrok, each a truly extraordinary development in its own right, will bring something new to the table and further diversify our offering,” said Abdo Kayali, group director of sales and marketing, Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels.

“The Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels brand is built with distinctiveness at the heart of each property. We aim to reflect this brand identity across all services at Al Bidda and Al Jomrok, ensuring that guests experience the exclusive, personalised service and excellence in hospitality that are characteristic of Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels,” he said.

In the first quarter of 2013, Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels achieved a number of milestones the group had set following its opening and official brand launch last year.

Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels has supported and hosted high-profile events such as the Doha Tribeca Film Festival, UN Climate Change Conference - COP18 and the annual Souq Waqif Spring Festival.
