Mitsubishi Fuso is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its light-duty truck, Canter.
As part of the anniversary campaign, which started yesterday and would continue until June 5, Qatar Automobiles Company (QAC) is offering the Canter at special rates starting from QR99,000. It comes equipped with customised bodies to accommodate professional customer needs and incorporates the company’s latest safety technologies as standard.
Since its debut in the Qatari market, the Canter has proven itself as a reliable, functional and durable business partner. Its list of clientele includes several of Qatar’s most successful businesses.
Fifty years ago, the Canter was built to reflect the true meaning of the name “Fuso”, which is derived from an ancient term for a sacred tree said to grow at the spot in the East where the sun rises, and has been used to refer to Japan itself.
The new Canter features a smart design and several innovations, which include Duonic, the world’s first fully automated dual-clutch transmission for trucks. An optimised power-train sharply reduces fuel consumption while guaranteeing an even safer and smoother drive.
The remodelled frame supports a bigger payload and is readily compatible with a wide range of bodies. Independent suspension is another new feature of the Canter.
