Qatar Computer Services (QCS) yesterday announced that it has signed up with the IT business division of Schneider Electric, to offer the latest data centre solution offerings in the
country.
The partnership was announced at a seminar jointly hosted by QCS and Schneider Electric in Doha. The event, largely attended by participants from various government organisations and IT enterprises, showcased the latest data centre solution offerings of Schneider Electric.
Schneider Electric is a global specialist in energy management, and a world leader in integrated critical power and cooling services. It is also a leading manufacturer of power supplies, environmental management systems and data centre solutions. Its products help protect critical IT infrastructure against many of the primary causes of data loss, hardware damage and downtime that organisations face.
The company has maintained its presence in the Gulf region for more than a decade.
Jacob George, sales manager at QCS, said: “We have identified the market demand for a data centre solutions provider in the region and after analysing various parameters, we decided to sign up with Schneider Electric in order to leverage on their expertise in providing end-to-end solutions to the Qatari ICT market. Our go-to-market strategy for any product is to build our own technical proficiency first and then start offering the solutions to our customers. We continue to follow the same strategy, when we decided to join hands with
Schneider Electric.
“We currently employ a team of dedicated data centre technicians who have the needed expertise to do the consultancy, design and deployment of data centre solutions. These technicians have been specially trained to provide their support for the entire data centre portfolio of Schneider Electric. Our partnership with IBM, Microsoft and other industry leading players will complement our data centre offerings,” said George during the event.
