Qatar Fuel Additives Company (Qafac) observed World Environment Day with a poster drawing contest for children of company employees. ‘Green economy’ was the theme of the competition for children in the age group of 8 to 11 and 12 to 15. More than 200 people attended the event held at the Oryx Rotana Hotel. Short videos highlighting the importance of the green economy were shown. There was a presentation on green energy leading to green economies. This was followed by a quiz programme in which children and their parents took part.
