The College of Engineering at Qatar University (QU) will host the third Qatar BIM User Day on April 30. The theme, “Skilled people to get the best out of BIM”, will focus on BIM education and certification and provide an overview of the market demand.

The two previous BIM – or building information modelling – User Days had drawn more than 125 participants.

While the first event dealt with business processes in the life cycle of facilities, the second focused on technology.

The BIM User Day attracts students, faculty and staff from QU and other institutions, as well as participants from local organisations.

The non-profit event is organised in conjunction with HOCHTIEF ViCon Qatar and Teesside University (UK), and focuses on the four components of BIM: processes, technologies, people and policies.
