HE the Minister of Energy and Industry, Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada, visited Total E&P Qatar’s booth at the annual Qatar Petroleum (QP) Environment Fair at the Doha Exhibition Centre recently.
The energy company took the opportunity to highlight its commitments in all matters pertaining to the environment, including its strategy and competence in terms of solar energy.
Total’s commitment to solar initiatives has been strengthened through its acquisition of a majority share in SunPower, the US solar giant, in 2011 and the recent launch of the Shams mega solar concentrated plant in Abu Dhabi.
Total E&P Qatar managing director Stephane Michel was joined by company staff and children at the stall during the visit of Dr al-Sada.

This is an occasion for us to showcase our environmental commitments and social responsibility towards awareness and community involvement. We are an oil and gas company and it is also our responsibility to develop clean energy for a sustainable world.
