Qatar Cool officials with Sherborne students during their tour of the integrated district cooling plant
Qatar Cool has partnered with Sherborne school to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee by sponsoring an event.
CEO of Qatar Cool, Fayad al-Khatib said: “What a wonderful opportunity this is for us to engage with the youth and community.  Sherborne is a school of excellence and the type of institution we believe in aligning ourselves with as part of our ongoing CSR initiatives.  We look forward to partnering with them again in the future.”
All proceeds from the day were distributed equally between Dhreima, the Qatar Orphan Foundation, which is also the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Charity, and a school-led initiative which will directly benefit all the children of Sherborne School.
Qatar Cool had previously hosted Sherborne students for a tour of their integrated district cooling plant, which is the largest in the world, situated at The Pearl-Qatar, where they discussed the environmental impact of the technology.
Director of communications at Sherborne, Richard Williams noted: “Our Diamond Jubilee Family Fun Day here at Sherborne Qatar was a huge success and it was great to see so many people of all ages having fun.  We would like to thank Qatar Cool for their sponsorship of the activity zone which was busy throughout the event.”
