Beginning today (midday Doha time, 0900 GMT), QF is inviting its global community to enter its “Passion Drives Our World” contest to fly to Barcelona, travel with the Barca team to Germany and watch the Champions League semi-final first leg tie live at Allianz Arena.

QF’s deputy director of communication Rashed al-Qurese said, “At Qatar Foundation, we are committed to the mission we share with FC Barcelona - unlocking the human potential of people all over the world. This is a wonderful opportunity for our international community to come together and demonstrate that passion drives us all. Whether you live in Qatar or in Canberra, the competition is open to all, and we welcome entrants from far and wide as well as from the local community.”

To enter the social media competition, contestants need to take their own photograph standing in front of a landmark holding a QF-Barcelona “Passion Drives Us All” banner. The banner can be downloaded and printed out from www.qf-fcb.com

The competition will run for 60 hours, closing at midnight (2100 GMT) on Wednesday, April 17. The winner will be selected at random through a prize draw and will be able to nominate a friend or relative, so that they can take enjoy once-in-a-lifetime journey together. There will also be an additional prize of a QF-branded Barca shirt for the competition entrant who lives farthest from Doha, emphasising the global resonance of the partnership with the Spanish club.

“Passion Drives Our World” is the latest in a series of contests and events designed to capture public imagination through the QF-Barca partnership. Earlier this year, contestants won prizes to travel with the Barca team to the El Clasico match in Madrid, and to the Champions League quarter-final against PSG.

The semi-final against Bayern Munich sets up the prospect of a final between Barcelona and Real Madrid, if both sides prevail, at Wembley.
