The third mandatory training course on crime scene for assistant public prosecutors concluded at the Police Training Institute (PTI) on Wednesday. Fifteen participants attended the three-week course.
PTI Director Dr Mohamed Abdulla al-Mehnna al-Marri, Senior Attorney at Public Prosecution Hadi Musfir al-Hajri and other officials attended the event.
The PTI director expressed gratitude to the Centre for Judicial Studies in the Ministry of Justice for its support. He said the PTI was ready to share its experts, scientific research and library with the centre, benefiting from specialised research in the field of security.
Dr al-Marri stressed the importance of the training course, which was implemented as part of a community partnership between the PTI and other authorities.
Thanking the Ministry of Interior - represented by the PTI - for the initiative, al-Hajri said crime scene training was an important subject and the lecturers delivered during the course were of high quality. More specialised courses would be provided for the Public Prosecution members, he added.
The aim of the training course was to provide the participants with necessary skills to keep pace with relevant developments and learn about the latest technologies and
innovations.
The course included methods of inspecting a crime scene, documentation and other topics. It also featured practical applications at the institute, Criminal Evidence and Information Department and Forensic Lab Department.
At the end of the event, Dr al-Marri and al-Hajri awarded certificates to the participants. Mementos were also presented on the occasion.
