‘Qatar confident of future gas demand’

Qatar is confident about future demand for its liquefied natural gas, al-Attiyah told the conference. “Demand for natural gas will continue, not in the classical markets, but in new markets,” al-Attiyah said. He added that the booming production of shale gas in the US won’t threaten Qatar’s position, but would compliment the supply provided by the Gulf country. “Two brothers cannot fight each other,” he said.
