Judges and jurists on a tour of Fanar
More than 40 judges and jurists were among the guests of the Law Conference who were accompanied by judges from the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) during a visit to the Qatar Islamic Cultural Centre (Fanar).
They were led by Robert Musgrove, CEO of the QICDRC, and Abd Allah al-Emady, manager of National Works in QIC.
They visited the Heritage Hall where they learned about Qatari history, heritage, and the country’s traditions of hospitality and lifestyle.
In the lobby they were enlightened about Islam as a religion and a way of life. They asked many questions about belief, social justice, life and human behaviour.
The delegates had their names hand written in Arabic calligraphy by Obaida al-Banky, the international calligrapher and judge in the international of competition Arabic calligraphy. They appreciated Arabic calligraphy as an art.
Later, the judges and jurists visited the Fanar mosque and observed prayer, its procedure and behavioural affection. They also listened to a recitation of Qur’an and asked about the rules of recitation.
At the Fanar institute they were informed about the Arabic language and how Fanar teaches it through highly technical equipment.
