Employees of Katara Hospitality have made in-kind donations to Qatar Charity (QC)’s Taif project.
The donations, part of a partnership between Katara Hospitality and QC aimed at helping people with low incomes, included clothing, furniture, electronic goods and home appliances.
These were received on behalf of QC by Abdullah Abdul Hadi al-Dosari, director of in-kind donations for the Taif project, in the presence of Hamad Mohamed Thiyabi, director of administration at Katara Hospitality, Salem Ghanem Kubaisi, director of the purchasing department, and a number of employees. A set of disused furniture from Katara Mövenpick Hotel Doha was included in the collection.
“I would like to thank all the Katara Hospitality staffers who have donated for this noble cause,” said Katara Hospitality CEO Hamad Abdulla al-Mulla. “Katara Hospitality is eager to continue its support for social development schemes and charitable initiatives of Qatar Charity.”
Al-Dosari thanked Katara Hospitality for its donation, saying: “The partnership between Qatar Charity and Katara Hospitality comes within the framework of the social responsibility of national institutions - supporting the needy through social projects.”
QC’s Taif project aims to help the needy, particularly families with low incomes, in a manner that preserves their human dignity and through the promotion of the spirit of volunteerism in the community.
