National Day greetings sent
HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani have sent cables of congratulations to the President of Tunisia Mohamed Moncef Marzouki on his country’s Independence Day.
Qatar-Singapore ties reviewed
Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has received a message from HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani connected with relations between the two countries.
The message was handed over by Qatar’s Ambassador to Singapore Rashid bin Ali al-Khatir during a meeting yesterday with the director of the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia Department at the Singaporean Foreign Ministry Samuel Tan.
Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and means of developing them.
Qatar takes part in air transport meet
Qatar is to participate in the 6th Global air transport conference, now in session in the Montreal-based International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) headquarters under the title, “Sustainability of Air Transport”.
Chairman of General Authority for Civil Aviation Abdulaziz Mohamed al-Nuaimi will lead Qatar’s delegation to the five-day conference which started on March 18.
