Qatar has signed an agreement to officially recognise the Interpol passport being issued by the world police organisation for those working at its headquarters and at Interpol National Centres in different countries.
The agreement was signed by Brigadier Khalifa Nasr al-Nasr, director of Arab and International Police Communication department of the Ministry of Interior, and by the Secretary General of Interpol Ronald K Nobel at Lyon, France. Brigadier al-Nasr said Qatar is one of the first countries to recognise Interpol passports. The Interpol passport is an international travel document issued by Interpol to law enforcement officers to ease and facilitate their movement around the world.
