Sharp unveiled the “world’s largest 90-inch full-array professional LED display” monitor at a press conference at the Radisson Blu hotel yesterday.
A 20-in multi-touch display and 32-in 4K-2K display monitors were also officially launched at the event.
Speaking about the giant 90-in monitor, Ravinder Kumar, deputy general manager Business Solutions Division, Sharp Middle East, said there was a growing demand in Qatar and the Middle East for versatile, large size LED displays.
He said they were aiming at large corporations for the new products, since it is fit for indoor use inside their offices. They can even be used in classrooms at educational institutes.
“As the largest addition to Sharp’s continually growing large-screen professional portfolio, and offering size and scale unlike any other LED display to date, this 90-in LED monitor is at the forefront in the industry of commercial displays.
“We are committed to providing solutions which meet these criteria, while working closely with our partner in Qatar, Almuftah Trading & Cont. Co.,” he said.
Expanding the boundaries of large screen displays, the sleek, new LED display offers customers unbeatable image quality, high brightness, contrast and energy savings.
The new unit can be mounted portrait or landscape, and is easier to install with significantly less weight than similar size plasma displays and it has numerous connectivity and control options. Resolution is full HD (1920x1080) with high brightness across the display.
Sharp also introduced the 4k2K technology, the ultra-high definition technology which is four times better than standard HD, exclusively on the 32-in monitor.
Rakesh Shrivastava, Business Development Manager, said that Sharp had previously introduced the 108-in LCD panel in Qatar in 2011 which cost around half a million riyals. These panels were installed at the Qatar National Conventional Centre.
The 90-in LED display monitor is available for around QR80,000, while the 20-in and 32-in 4K2K display monitors are within the range of QR12,000.
