Ajman Stud of the United Arab Emirates dominated the day’s proceedings as they clinched four of the six events on the opening day of the 22nd Qatar International Arabian Horse Show at the outdoor arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation yesterday. |
AJ Bahya, a progeny of Marajj took the first place in Class I A ahead of Zenat Al Shaqab, while Saudi Arabia’s Ghala Al Fahdiyah took the third place.
Ajmaniah OS continued the winning trend for Ajman Stud when she was adjudged the best looking filly in Class I B. In Class 3 A, AJ Asyad of Ajman Stud was declared the winner ahead of her barn mate Inspired Najla.
Qatar’s Al Shaqab were also in the limelight while claiming two titles in Class 2 A and Class 4 A. Jenan Al Shaqab (Gazal Al Shaqab-Aliaa Al Shaqab) was the two year old fillies winner while Ghalib Al Shaqab was adjudged the best looking yearling colt.
The 22nd Qatar International Equestrian Festival (QIEF) was officially declared open by QREC chairman Sheikh Mohammed bin Faleh al-Thani this evening.
