Talks held with International Court’s chief
HE the Minister of Justice Hasan bin Abdullah al-Ghanem met Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers, the president of the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) in Doha yesterday.
They discussed issues of mutual concern and ways of enhancing the co-operation between the Ministry of Justice and the QICDRC in the different areas of law, including the settlement of trade disputes, examining contracts and spreading the legal culture by holding joint seminars and courses. The meeting was attended by senior officials at the Ministry of Justice and QICDRC chief executive officer Robert Musgrove.


Qatar-UK ties discussed
HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Ali bin Fahad al-Hajri yesterday met Philip Dunne, UK Minister of Defence Equipment, Support and Technology, currently on a visit to Doha.  They discussed relations between the two countries and means of enhancing and developing them in addition to other issues of mutual concern.
The UK ambassador to Qatar attended the meeting along with a number of other Foreign Ministry officials.


Greetings sent
HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani  have sent  cables of congratulations to the president of Nepal on his country’s National Day.
