Qatar Rail, the company overseeing the construction integrated rail system and Doha Metro lines, and Barwa Real Estate Company and their subsidiaries, yesterday joined hands to celebrate the nation’s second National Sport Day at the Diplomatic Club.
The joint initiative saw the participation of more than 1,400 employees, their families and friends.
“We organised the event to support Qatari sports and bring together the employees and their families. The goal is to create a sporting spirit among employees to strengthen the bonds between them,” Qatar Rail CEO Saad Ahmad al-Mohannadi said.
The programme included sports competitions, fitness exercises and games to encourage employees and their families to participate in events that improve health and to ultimately instill a culture of physical fitness.
