Mohamed Sarfraz Khanzada, Ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar, has been transferred to Sudan.
Speaking at a dinner hosted by Pak Youth Society and attended by leading community members and heads of various Pakistani socio-cultural forums, Khanzada announced the news of his transfer and said it was his wish to spend the remaining two years of his service in Qatar.
“However, I was informed by my superiors that my services are required in Sudan,” he said.
Pakistani career diplomats are normally posted for 3 to 4 years at one station. Khanzada’s predecessor Mohamed Asghar Afridi served for around 5 years in Qatar before his retirement in March 2011.
Khanzada had started his career as a junior officer in Pakistan’s mission in Doha. - Ashraf Siddiqui
