The North Gate project, currently under construction on Al Shamal (North) Road, about 10km north of Doha, and represented by Qatari company Equinox SPC, has won for its master design the ‘Best Retail Architecture 2012 in
Arabia’ award.
It competed against other well-known real estate projects in the region during the Arabian Property Awards 2012 with the firm responsible for North Gate’s master design winning the
honour.
The award comes as part of the Arabian and African property summit activities held recently in Dubai. An official representing Equinox described the award as a testament to the level of detail and planning invested in the project and its ability to compete with the best retail developments in the region.
“We are pleased with the award as it reflects our continuous vision and goal to deliver an exceptional, international standard mixed use project offering a unique point of difference in Qatar,” he added.
North Gate, located on a 200,000sq m plot, is positioned to benefit from development in Doha’s strong northern population growth corridor and represents one of the only commercial developments within the area.
North Gate offers an area close to 100,000sq m of leasable space for retail and a further 45,000sq m for offices.
