Live music will add to the carnival atmosphere at The Pearl’s multicultural festival. Right: Street performers will take to the Boardwalk of The Pearl-Qatar
The Pearl-Qatar is set to bring the sights and sounds of a multicultural festival to the Boardwalk every day from April 19 to May 19.
For a whole month, The Pearl-Qatar will host musical acts, illusionists and street art and street performers from around the globe in a celebration of The Pearl-Qatar’s multicultural community.
While the carnival atmosphere will continue inside the retail precincts, a main stage will host top performers, including a jazz saxophonist, and dance troupes showcasing routines from the Arab world as well as Russia, Sweden, France, Britain and North America.
Separately, illusionists, human statues, stilt walkers, jugglers and acrobats will keep residents and visitors entertained.
A children’s area will see face painting, balloon animal making and other activities including arts, crafts and games. Visitors will also be able to “walk around” all of the carnival attractions.
“The Pearl-Qatar is a true multicultural community and what better way to reflect that than to hold a carnival with performers and activities from the Middle East and around the world that will appeal to the entire family,” said The Pearl-Qatar community relations manager Abdulhameed al-Yousef.
“The Pearl-Qatar is a true family-oriented island and residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the festivities in a vibrant, yet relaxed atmosphere.”
Festivities will run daily and will kick off every weekday evening from 6pm, and from 3pm on weekends.
