Senior executives from Qatar’s insurance sector will attend tomorrow a KPMG Insurance breakfast seminar for an update on regulatory and financial reporting
developments,
More than 40 delegates from leading insurance companies, insurance supervisors are expected for the event to be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel from 8am to 11am.
The speakers are Yacoub Hobeika (partner, head of insurance, KPMG in Qatar), Rob Curtis (director, insurance risk advisory, KPMG in the UK) and Adeel Mushtaq (senior manager, insurance audit and advisory services, KPMG in Bahrain).
Curtis, will deliver a presentation on ‘Evolving Insurance Regulations.’ Mushtaq, will present an update on accounting standards - IASB Insurance contract project and AAOIFI Takaful projects.
Hobeika said: “We are very pleased to share insights on insurance industry and discuss key changes and updates to insurance regulatory and accounting developments and, how this will impact local and international insurance
companies in Qatar.”
