Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co (AAB), the dealers of Toyota and Lexus brands of vehicles in Qatar, yesterday launched the 2013 Avalon and 2013 RAV4 YM at third Qatar Motor Show at Doha Exhibition Center.
AAB is occupying a large area at the exhibition venue where the latest models of Toyota are being displayed. The star attraction of the Toyota pavilion will be the 2013 Avalon – the Toyota flagship.
The 2013 Avalon showcases Toyota’s car-building prowess and infuses the Avalon nameplate with new levels of excitement, dynamic capability and refinement. Toyota Motor Corporation has utilised the best in-market car-building resources to produce the new world-class sedan which the company feels will lead the charge for great styling, great handling performance, and the highest and best level of technologies.
Avalon utilises a 3.5-litre, six-cylinder engine that features Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) to help offer superior power and efficiency.
The new RAV4 offers balanced performance and capability, while being more engaging and fun to drive. It also offers great fuel efficiency, spacious rear space, striking design, and a compelling array of standard features. The RAV4 offers customers a distinctive, sophisticated “dynamic and strong” styling, refined, premium-quality interior design, a new dynamic torque control 4WD with fuel-efficient powertrain.
The new RAV4 is equipped with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with dual VVT-i technology which enhances power delivery efficiency by controlling both intake and exhaust timings to produce 176 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 233 Nm of torque at 4,100 rpm.
To highlight Toyota’s commitment to safety, AAB is also displaying a simulator where the customers can experience and get a feel of driving support system functions. The visitors can experience and understand how and in what situation three safety technologies such as anti-lock braking system (ABS), vehicle stability control (VSC), and traction control (TRC) contribute to safety.
