Barwa Village recently held a prize distribution ceremony for winners of the first draw of the ongoing Barwa Shopping Festival in the presence of company officials.
The festival that began on March 22 will conclude on May 13. The second draw will be held on April 26.
The Shopping Festival is offering chances to win 66 prizes to shoppers who spend QR50 or more at any of the hundreds of shops at the Village. There are a total of three raffle draws to be held every fortnight at Barwa Village.
At a ceremony, Barwa Real Estate’s director of Group Communications Hamad Rashid al-Kuwari, and the property manager of Waseef  Abdulla Rashid al- Kuwari handed over the prizes to the winners.
The prizes included four Suzuki motorbikes, four LG LCD TVs, four iPads and four Blackberry cellphones.
The evening also had various games and performances for families and children including magic shows, clowns with balloon twisting, henna, face-painting, tug of war and hula-hoop.
Al-Kuwari said: “The shopping festival is offering amazing grand prizes.” He said trading activities in the complex are seeing a sharp growth as sales have crossed QR4mn in four weeks of the shopping festival. 
The festival which was conceived mainly to promote the commercial side of Barwa Village among Qatar’s residents has generated positive results so far for the 900-plus commercial units located there. The complex has a diverse range of stores dealing in electronics, garments, restaurants, cosmetics, construction and building materials among others.
The prizes listed for the second draw to be held on April 26 include six Blackberry cellphones, six iPads, 6 LG LCD TVs and a Toyota Fj Cruiser.
The Barwa Village Shopping Festival is a great avenue for shoppers to benefit from discounts and special offers.
