Following the successful completion of the December round of courses and seminars, the Qatar Leadership Centre’s Current and Future Executive Leaders programme has begun the New Year with a week-long series of strategic training and psychometric assessments at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
Over the course of the first five-day Strategy & Leadership programme, senior lecturers and professors from the Harvard Business School are delivering lectures and training exercises on strategic thinking, networking, industry analysis and competitive thinking in global business environment, as part of the management acumen element of the Current and Future Executive Leaders programme.
Profiles International will also deliver psychometric assessment coaching sessions between January 20 and 29 at the QNCC, where Qatar Leadership Centre participants will be given feedback, coaching and guidance for their personal growth and improvement.
The group of senior Qatar business and public sector leaders will also visit the Qatar Science & Technology Park to explore, understand and learn more about the current and future plans of the organisation.
“Globally, research and development in both education and business remains one of the core drivers for national economic growth and National Vision 2030,” said Qatar Leadership Centre board member and executive director HE Sheikh Dr Abdulla bin Ali al-Thani, adding: “Through study trips such as these, our participants will continue to be exposed to research streams and industry themes that constitute one of the fastest growing sectors in the region.”
The Qatar Science & Technology Park is the national agency charged with executing applied research and delivering commercialised technologies in four themed areas: energy, environment, health sciences, and information and communication technologies (ICT).
As part of the Qatar Leadership Centre course, participants regularly visit a cross section of industries to meet leading figures and understand how all industries are driving towards the National Vision 2030.
As part of the programme, candidates will meet with industry leaders from oil and gas, education, government, healthcare, telecoms and the ICT community.
Following the completion of the January courses, the Current and Future Executive Leaders group will attend courses delivered by Duke CE on Agile Leadership in early February.
