A technical workshop-cum-seminar has been conducted on products from Rocol Ltd, a UK-based hi-end manufacturer of lubricants, cutting fluids and line marking systems, widely used in various industries.
The session, hosted by the manufacturer’s sole Qatar distributor Behzad Trading Enterprises, was attended by several building and construction consultants, engineering professionals and industry specialists.
Qatar Petroleum, RasGas, Qatargas, Qapco, Qafco, Qatar National Cement Company, Qatar Navigation, Qatar Cool, Supreme Council of Health, Mowasalat, Kone Elevators, Manweir, Darwish Engineering, Sarens Group, Schindler, ArabTech and many other organisations were represented.
Mohamed Yunus Ghazi, Rocol’s regional operations manager for the Arabian Gulf, and South Asia, explained how and why their company’s products have made inroads into vital sectors like oil and gas, construction, transport, heavy equipment, steel, health and the country’s security forces among others.
Behzad Group established in 1950 by the late Ali Hussain Behzad has been offering services and expertise to several sectors in Qatar, and three other GCC states, UK and Sudan.
The group’s deputy general manager J K Menon made a presentation on the group’s businesses.
The official also announced plans to start a separate division to trade chemicals, bearing in mind the growing requirements of regional and local industries.
Menon said their company is moving forward on an initiative to import and export food products like rice, sugar, oil and many other fast moving consumer goods. The company’s focus, he added, would be on the GCC states and some key markets in Africa. A new warehouse, being built by the company, would be ready for operations soon, he disclosed. Behzad Group financial advisor Rahul Menon proposed a vote of thanks.
Rocol’s Ghazi and Behzad’s Menon are seen with some of the participants at the seminar.
