Riding on an impressive all-round performance by Naushad, Doha Bank CC trounced Kerala XI by a massive 123 runs to win the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) Division B at West Bay Grounds. |
Naushad scored an unbeaten 31 in Doha Bank’s total of 278 for 7 wickets before taking five wickets to bundle the Kerala XI’s innings for 155.
Manjula top-scored for the victors with 69 runs while Mihira made a commendable 54 before taking two wickets. Thabreiz pitched in with a 32 not out and a two-wicket haul. For Kerala XI, Siraj (34), Seyam (22) and Nazim (21) provided some resistance before their innings was brought to an end in the 27th over.
Meanwhile, in the final of Division C, Galfar defeated PAK Stars Cricket Club to take the honours with a five-wicket win. Having won the toss, Galfar elected to field first before bundling out PAK Stars for 181 in 36 overs.
In reply, Galfar reached the target in 30 overs losing only five wickets.
