The Reach Out To Asia’s (Rota) Volunteer Programme celebrated Qatar National Day with children with special needs at Hamad Medical Corporation’s Children’s Rehabilitation Centre, located at Rumailah Hospital.
A team of Rota volunteers joined representatives of several community-based organisations to play traditional games and enjoy face painting and henna with three-to-six-year-olds.
“Celebrating Qatar National Day at the Children’s Rehabilitation Centre provided a memorable experience for everyone involved, and reflects the commitment of Rota and our volunteers to give back wherever possible to all sections of the community,” Rota director Mohamed Abdulla Saleh said.
The Rota Volunteer Programme is now looking forward to introducing a regular programme of visits to the Children’s Rehabilitation Centre, with volunteers providing assistance to Centre staff on a regular basis.
“Rota has partnered with the Children’s Rehabilitation Centre for a variety of activities over the years,” added Saleh.
