National carrier Qatar Airways, which is a gold sponsor of the Qatar National Day celebrations tomorrow, is hosting various activities and offering a 24-hour sale online for residents as part of the festivities.
To celebrate National Day and in support of the annual parade on the Doha Corniche, Qatar Airways said “it is delighted to work closely” with the National Day Organising Committee for a series of activities at Doha International Airport, including a traditional Qatari tent by Qatar Tourism Authority, flowers, henna painting, falconry with traditional Qatari fixtures on display.
In advance of the celebrations, at all the airline’s offices in Doha, Qatar Airways has been distributing scarves to customers that feature Qatari flags and imagery distinctly proud of Qatar and its heritage. The airline also held a scarf competition in which residents were encouraged to design their own Qatari scarf design.
Furthermore, in celebration of the special day, the airline will be extending an “incredible” 24-hour offer for Qatar residents from tonight.
Customers’ who book on www.qatarairways.com/nationalday or at any Qatar Airways’ sales offices or their preferred travel agencies in Doha, will be eligible to receive up to 40% off economy, business and first class tickets for the lowest applicable market fare valid for the travel period between December 25 and March 31, 2013.
Qatar Airways features most of its entire route network in the special sale, including “exciting” destinations for a short city break or longer holiday, such as the Seychelles, Maldives, London, Kuala Lumpur, Barcelona, Vienna, Zagreb, Warsaw, Kilimanjaro, Phuket, Singapore and many more.
In addition to the sale, there will also be an incentive for Privilege Club cardholders, the airline’s frequent flyer programme, to earn double Qmiles and be eligible for one 25% redemption offer.
The airline said it is pleased to be extending the sale and the Privilege Club offer for the third year running in celebration of Qatar National Day.
