A lecture on ‘How lizards can deal with climate change,’ presented by Dr Aurora M Castilla, scientist at the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI), in connection with COP18 conference, was attended by the students of International School of London in Qatar along with their parents and teachers. The children actively participated in the lecture by asking many interesting questions.

Most children and their teachers have registered in QEERI as volunteers to participate in the biodiversity campaigns that this research institute, led by Dr Rabi Mohtar, conducts several times a year to survey and map the animal species found in the Qatari deserts. All participating children received a T-shirt and a cap, featuring a picture of lizard on them.
