Qatar will host the third Islamic Finance conference on December 10, bringing together an elite group of scholars, researchers and academicians to develop, upgrade and promote the Islamic finance industry.
“The third edition of this conference shall represent a special quality addition that enriches the Islamic Finance Industry, which witnesses an unprecedented development locally, regionally and globally,” said Osama Q al-Dereai, CEO of Bait Al-Mashura Finance Consultations Company, which is organising the conference.
The conference, which is supported by Barwa Bank and Qatar Airways, will dwell on the experiences of those conventional banks that have been converted into Shariah-principled banking entities. The details were announced at a press conference attended by Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, Bait Al-Mashura Finance Consultations Company deputy chairman, Osama Q al-Dereai and Barwa bank head (Retail) Hussain M al-Abdulla.
