HEC Paris in Qatar, the region’s leading hub for executive education, has successfully concluded its second ‘HEC Knowledge Lab’ event of 2012 under the title ‘Building a solid talent management programme and developing
leadership’.
HEC Paris in Qatar has created the Knowledge Lab programme to provide a platform for senior human resources and learning and development (L&D) executives in Qatar to network and learn from each other through a series of lectures and workshops led by local and
international experts.
The objective is to create a knowledge community that will contribute to the advancement of talent development for organisations in Qatar as well as in the region.
The objective of the event conducted by HEC Paris adjunct lecturer François Railliet, was to equip participants with models, frameworks and practical approaches to further improve their talent management programmes and provide guidance on
developing leadership.
This was achieved through structured inputs on HRM (human resources management) perspectives and frameworks, group activities building on experiences, practices and issues in a network format and practical
recommendations.
Speaking about the programme, Railliet, who is also a HR consultant, commented: “The general outline of the day involved an introduction to the critical importance of talent management in the coming decade. We examined key attraction drivers, how to optimise talent sourcing using traditional and new approaches and developing a strong
employer brand.”
HEC Paris in Qatar chief executive officer Joshua Kobb said: “The talent management programme was well-attended, informative and productive. We were delighted to be able to bring a speaker of the calibre of Railliet to the Knowledge Lab as it underlines our efforts to provide the best in all regards of executive education to our participants. This is what makes us leaders in our field not only in Qatar, but worldwide.”
“This most recent Knowledge Lab is the second such event we have organised in just a few months and we have many more slated for the
future,” Kobb mentioned.
