Belhasa Projects (BHP), a specialist in swimming pool construction and maintenance, is the key sponsor of QPS 2012, an international exhibition for pool and spa in Qatar. The exhibition will take place on October 7-9 at the Doha Exhibitions Centre.
The three-day exhibition is expected to draw several leading players from the hospitality, spa, leisure and beauty industry, along with high net worth individuals looking for the latest designs and technology in swimming pools, water features and luxury spas.
Belhassa Projects CEO Greg Garner said: “Qatar is an important strategic market for us and events like QPS 2012 give us a chance to showcase our abilities and reach out to more of our target audience.
“With the rapid growth of Qatar economy, we are seeing an increasing demand from individuals, educational institutions, hotels and other commercial sectors for uniquely designed aesthetic and international quality swimming pools and spas.”
Belhasa Projects is a 30 year-old diversified company with a key focus on swimming pools and water features.
The company’s first major work in Qatar was in 1984 for $1mn contract involving the construction of artificial rockwork, waterfalls and lakes.
The company’s sports and coatings division has been involved in important projects like the athletics tracks at the sprawling Khalifa Stadium, the venue for the 2006 Asian Games in Doha.
In 2010, the company opened a branch office in Doha. Greg Garner said that “the fantastic response we have received for our services in Qatar involving construction of swimming pools, sports facilities and wet infrastructure solutions prompted our expansion into the country. Now with a direct presence in the market we will be able to further enhance our customer service”.
