Fraser Suites Doha officials general manager Mustapha Henini, CEO of Al-Hitmi Hospitality Ihab Elzahaby and Director Group Branding/Communications) Jastina F Balen
Fraser Suites Doha, overlooking the scenic Corniche and promoted by Al-Hitmi Hospitality, one of the country’s major business real estate developers is set for a formal opening sometime in the beginning of January 2012. The facility is already open with a soft-launch that took place more than two months ago.
The new serviced apartment complex is in the vicinity of the head quarters of the Qatar Museums Authority and the General Secretariat of Ministers.
Briefing journalists yesterday, the operators of the 15-floor state-of-the-art complex consisting of 138-gold standards serviced apartments said it is already operational and has started attracting a loyal clientele from different parts of the region besides many visitors from international destinations across the globe.
General Manager of Fraser Suites Doha, Mustapha Henini, said their complex, located in a very accessible location in the centre of Doha provides a lot of attractions to its customers, in particular visitors from other parts of the region. “Besides the visitors from abroad, our services have come in for praise from a number of resourceful Qatar residents of different nationalities,” he said.
The hotel official said the complex, featuring a number of apartments starting from studios to giant apartments, is equipped with plush interiors and offers a panoramic view of the Doha Sea, ever-growing skyline of the West Bay and Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) among others.
Henini said the complex management has enough reasons to believe that its acceptance is growing day by day in the local, regional and international communities. “Located in an area known for the presence of a number of new generation hotels, Fraser Suites has won over the trust of many a regular patron with its unmatchable services,” he said.
The roof-top swimming pool, children’s wading pool, sauna, large size gymnasium and other recreational facilities have received many customers in the two months since the complex was opened.
The spacious lobby has housed a round the clock café, restaurant and business and travel desks among other features.
Speaking later, CEO of Al-Hitmi Hospitality Ihab Elzahaby said their group has identified many areas in hospitality industry for local development. Their group, he said, has plans to strengthen its presence in the coming years through the setting up a number of similar projects in and around Doha.
Elzahaby said the projections are that Doha would need many more similar apartment hotels as the number of international events has seen a jump in the last few years. “The trend is expected to continue at least for the next 10-15 years,” he said.
The arrival of a number of new projects in the country calls for the setting up of many more hotels and serviced apartments and by 2022 when the country hosts Fifa World Cup, a number of similar residential facilities would be required to meet the growing requirements of its people, he said.
Already, the group has started the work of a similar project on the adjoining compound.
Frasers Suites Doha Director of Sales Senada Ramic said the Frasers Hospitality is a brand that is gaining wider acceptance in the global market these days because of the high quality hospitality services that the group provides to its customers.
Ramic said besides in Doha, the Frasers are already an active name in Dubai, Bahrain, and would soon have more properties in Riyadh and Sultanate of Oman. The group official said their company has identified China and India for further development in Asia and China already has seven Fraser brand properties.
The group’s first hotel in India was opened a few months ago in New Delhi and the works of new hotels are underway in Chennai and Bangalore.
Fraser Suites, said Ramic, are among the front-runners in the hospitality industry in Melbourne, Osaka, Paris, Seoul, Sydney, Perth, Budapest, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Manila among other locations.
The official said the Frasers are these days focusing more attention on the hospitality sector in the Middle East and take over of properties is likely in the next few years.
“Even though a major share of our clientele is from corporate entities, Frasers are also concentrating on individual and household clientele with an array of never seen and unparalleled offers,” said the official.
