The first Arab to walk to the magnetic North Pole and row across an ocean has encouraged Stenden University students to follow their dreams.
Omani national Nabs al-Busaidi was making a presentation at the institution’s campus as part of its International Business Management and International Hospitality programme for students who will graduate in February 2012. 
Al-Busaidi inspired the students with his documentary movie and his talk about his life history, his experiences and his expeditions.
He said how important it was to set goals, be motivated to reach them and never giving up even if there are setbacks.
His talk also focused on the importance of personal charitable efforts and social responsibility while being successful in life.
Stenden University Qatar has an extracurricular programme where high-achieving guest lecturers address the students.
Stenden University Qatar was part of Al-Busaidi’s Middle East school tour to raise $1mn for charities chosen by the participating schools.
