Govind and Gopal perform at the event organised by the Changanacherry NSS College Alumni Association

The members of the Changanassery NSS College Alumni Association - Qatar chapter (Chanss-Qatar), an organisation of the former students from the institution in Kerala, held  a “family day” at the Sasco Group’s farm house in Umm Salal at the weekend.
More than 200 members attended the function where entertainment programmes were staged to celebrate the Onam festival.
Among the highlights was a classical concert by Gopal Chandrasenan, assisted by his brother Chandrasenan Govind on mridangam, a percussion instrument.
Earlier, forum president Varghese Mathew welcomed the gathering.
Chief guest and Galfar-Al Misnad Qatar CEO Satish Pillai gave away prizes to winners of competitions held as part of the celebrations.
Confederation of Alumni Associations of Kerala (Caak) president A P Manikantan addressed the gathering.
ICC vice president Annie Varghese was the guest of honour.
General secretary K Jayakrishnan proposed a vote of thanks.
