United Development Company (UDC) has visited the premises of Qatar Charity and Dhreima (Qatar Orphans Foundation), following up on their fundraising scheme during Ramadan.
During Ramadan, UDC through the Hospitality Development Company (HDC), which manages and operates a number of restaurants on The Pearl-Qatar, pledged to donate 10% of the revenues to selected Qatar charities.
On the occasion of the visits, Abdulrahim al-Ibrahim, director of The Pearl-Qatar Central Authority Directorate (TCAD), presented cheques to the organisations, representing the company’s contributions in light of their pledge. 
“We are delighted to donate 10% of our restaurants revenue during Ramadan to the charities in Qatar and it is a simple contribution from us to meet our commitment towards the community in which we operate.  UDC’s philosophy is that companies should support and nurture community spirits,” said Abdulrahim.

“We commend the considerable efforts undertaken by Dhreima; also we highly appreciate the humanitarian role Qatar Charity is playing, and UDC will continue to support these kinds of endeavours. This initiative comes within the framework of the activities we have undertaken to serve all segments of society and to foster a spirit of solidarity among the community,” he added.
