HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych chaired a session of official talks here between Qatar and Ukraine.
The talks, held at the Ukranian presidency, were attended by HE the Deputy Premier and Chairman of the Emiri Diwan, Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah and the members of the official delegation accompanying the Emir.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations and means of enhancing them in all fields.
Following the session of talks, the Emir and the Ukrainian president witnessed the signing of an agreement on air services between the two countries and another on co-operation in exchange of news between Qatar News Agency (QNA) and the National News Agency of Ukraine (UKRINFORM) .
Prior to the talks, the Emir and the Ukrainian president held a bilateral meeting.
The Emir arrived in Kiev yesterday on a two-day state visit to Ukraine, the third leg of his tour which has so far included Macedonia and Albania.
The Emir is accompanied by HE the Deputy Premier and Chairman of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah and a high ranking official delegation.
The Emir was accorded a red-carpet welcome at the presidency. He was welcomed at the presidency by President Yanukovych, a number of Ukrainian ministers and ranking military and civilian senior officials along with the heads of the diplomatic missions accredited to Ukraine.
