Salatt and Nambiar shake hands after signing the agreement, as Jacob looks on

The Mumbai-based Viva Infoventures has entered into a joint venture with Al Majed Technologies (AMT), a member of the Al Majed Group, one of the leading business houses in Qatar with over six decades of presence in the market.
The new initiative is aimed at exploring opportunities in knowledge driven sectors of education, technology and media.
The agreement was signed by Viva’s promoter Vineet C Nambiar and AMT managing director Hussain Salatt in the presence of Al Majed Group’s finance and administration head Jacob V Jacob.  Salatt said Qatar is rapidly assuming significance as the primary hub for business in the Middle East and a lot of this has to do with the dynamic ICT development activities it has embarked on.
“This partnership is yet another example of growing international interest in Qatar’s knowledge economy initiatives,” he said.
Jacob said Al Majed Group is keen to participate in the diversification of Qatar’s economy and the national development of science, technology and intellectual capabilities in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.
“This partnership harnessing Viva’s technical prowess and Al Majed’s business intelligence will make for a highly potent combination,” he said.
Nambiar said Viva is inspired by Qatar’s vision to develop a knowledge-based economy through indigenous innovation capabilities and knowledge-based assets.
“We are excited about the steps being taken in this direction and hope to play a role in achieving this goal,” he said adding that Viva undertakes knowledge ventures that are entrepreneurial and transformational.
