Jaidah Group has, for many years, been the distributor for Cummins’ products in Qatar, but the new agreement will see Cummins Qatar market, distribute and service its own products in partnership with Jaidah.
“Through its products and services, Cummins Qatar will be recognised as a market leader and so, once again, Jaidah Group has brought the best to its customers here. The new joint venture will provide power generation systems ranging from 8 to 3000 Kilovolt Ampere of all sizes not to mention related services and applications,” said Mohamed Jaidah, chief development officer, Jaidah Group, at a press conference.
“In the last five years, the massive increase in the number of projects and developments under way in Qatar has led to a similar rise in the demand for power generation equipment. The resulting increase in demand has opened an area of opportunity for the venture that I am talking about today,” Jaidah added.
Speaking of the new facility, Cummins Middle East distribution managing director, Rachid Ouenniche, commented: “This partnership was a natural fit for both parties and we’re delighted it continues to flourish. Cummins wants to maximise its profile in the rapidly-expanding Qatari market and Jaidah are, for us, the perfect partners to help us do this through this new entity.”
