Maharashtra Mandal office-bearers for the year 2011-12
The new managing committee of the Indian expatriate forum Maharashtra Mandal for 2011-12 has taken over.
Deven Deorukhkar is elected president and Mahesh Latkar the general secretary.
At a meeting held at the Indian Cultural Centre recently, the new office-bearers were installed.
On the occasion, well-known Indian director Paresh Mokashi was felicitated by the organisers.
Mokashi’s film “Harishchandrachi Factory” was the official entry for Oscar awards for India in 2009. At the meeting, Mokashi shared his experiences and challenges that he had faced during the production of the movie, which is based on the life of Dadasaheb Harishchandra Phalake, the father of Indian film industry.
New office-bearers include Deven Deorukhkar (president), Mahesh Latkar (general secretary), Anjali Joshi (chief co-ordinator), Yogita Deshpande (treasurer), Kalidas Phadake (auditor), Sameer More, Abhay Patwardhan, Supriy Gaikwad, Manas Takle, Vivek Kanadem Vikas Bhoir and Milind Mahajni (committee members).
