Richard Daly
Richard Daly has officially taken up his role as CEO of Vodafone Qatar.
Commenting on Richard Daly’s appointment, Vodafone Qatar’s Chairman Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Saud al-Thani said: “I and the entire Board of Vodafone Qatar would like to welcome Richard and wish him success in leading the company through the next phase of its growth. With his deep experience in the telecommunications sector, I am certain that Richard will take Vodafone Qatar to new strengths.” 
Daly has been chosen to lead Vodafone into the next phase of its journey in Qatar as an experienced CEO with over 30 years experience in blue chip companies including 11 years in telecommunications. Daly joins Vodafone Qatar from Vodafone Partner Markets and prior to that was the CEO of Vodafone Egypt.
“I am delighted to be here in Qatar and thoroughly looking forward to my new life here. The vibrancy and friendliness that I have already encountered from the Qatari people is truly wonderful and it is a real pleasure to be living, once more, in the Middle East region,” said Daly.
“Vodafone Qatar has been through an exciting journey since its launch in July 2009. I can see that the competition we have brought has already led to lower prices and improved services for the customers in Qatar. The sad loss of our inspirational CEO, Grahame Maher affected us all greatly and I would like to acknowledge the great success that Maher and the team achieved, and particularly pay tribute to John Tombleson who has lead the company through a challenging time following Maher’s sudden death.  
Daly added: “In the next phase, we will make sure that our network quality is really excellent across the country and bring a range of exciting and innovative services to our customers at great value for money.
“Vodafone is completely committed to a long and successful relationship with Qatar and will make the necessary investments to deliver a great experience for our customers, partners and shareholders.
