Vodafone yesterday launched its latest offering to customers in Qatar, providing them with 30 free minutes after the first three minutes of every local telephone call.
The offer applies to both fixed and mobile lines on all networks, and will run from today until October 31.
The promotion means that the first three minutes of every phone call are charged at a normal rate, but customers can then continue on the same call for up to 30 minutes free of charge.
After the initial three minutes and the 30 free minutes, the customer will be charged for any further call time.
Chief marketing officer of Vodafone Qatar John Saad said: “There has never been a better time to stay connected to all of your family and friends in Qatar, with 30 minutes free on every call!”
Saad is a new addition to Vodafone in Qatar, having recently arrived alongside a new CEO and CFO, and he explained that the senior management team will be revisiting their strategy and looking at ways to develop further in the Qatari market.
He expressed his desire for the company to increase its presence in the market by becoming “more relevant” in the local community, and said that the new offer is an example of how they intend to do this.
“This great offer is a first in Qatar, and customers get to enjoy it each and every time they pick up the phone to call anyone in Qatar,” said Saad.
“We are a global company, but it is important to have a local approach as well,” he argued.
“What’s more, this offer is over and above the free Vodafone minutes that each customer gets with their chosen plan,” he added.
Head of marketing Cindy Moussa said: “Vodafone has always brought its customers great offers which give them unbelievable value.  We are always listening to our customers and getting their feedback so we can constantly give them offers that delight them.”
