According to the company, the amount signified the promised percentage of new cars sold during the Ramadan.
At a brief ceremony held yesterday at the company’s Mitsubishi showroom on Salwa road, company officials handed over the cheque to the Qatar Charity’s Public Relations and Fund Raising Director Khalid A Fakhroo.
The event was attended by representatives from QAC and Qatar Charity. The Charity’s donor relations manager Hamad Aladdin Shehadeh and the head of donor relations Ali Mubarak al-Kubaisi were among others present. QAC’s general manager Ayman A Mohamad Ali, NBK holding CEO Ayman al-Abbasi and other senior representatives from the company were also present
“QAC, being part of the NBK holding and sharing the same corporate vision, has a long-standing assignment to constantly contribute to Qatar society as per the vision set by our Government. “Through the campaign ‘Car for you, Care for others’ our aim was to raise awareness about people in need and encourage other socially responsible companies to follow the example that we have set with Qatar Charity. The humanitarian approach we have tried to demonstrate was a strong statement of our commitment to make difference”, said Ayman Ali.
