The Bangladeshi artistes at Doha International Airport yesterday
Bangladeshi expatriate forum Chiranton Baul Shangha is organising the ‘Eid Annando Mela 2011’ today and tomorrow at the old premises of the Ideal Indian School.
A team of 18 artistes – Rabi Chowdhury, S M Arfin Rumi, Mamunun Emon, Mohamed Sharif Uddin, Kajal Kumar Moulick, Kaniz Afroz Ahmed, Mozeza Ashraf Mona, Ronti Das, Subrina Ehasan Porshi, Jhum Jhum Akter, Nafiza Jahan, Israt Jahan Esha, Julia Ehasan, Tapash Chowdhury, Bishawjit Barua, Sajal Kumar Saha, Mithun Das, and Anowar Hossain – arrived in Doha yesterday for the event.
Stalls offering traditional Bengali food, clothing, handicraft, fun and games will also be a part of the event, according to the forum’s general secretary Ahmed Zahed.
