Managing director Dr M A Mohamed, executive director Nishad Azeem, director Rasheed P A and chief medical officer Dr K M R Mathew were among those present.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mohamed explained about the plans for expansion and the availability of additional facilities.
A fully automated laboratory and X-ray department has been commissioned. An additional floor has been added to the existing facilities doubling the available space.
“We intend to add one more floor to the building in the near future to expand the services,” Dr Mohamed said.
The proposed floor would accommodate an expansion of the dental department and addition of ophthalmology, skin and venereal disease clinics.
It is also planned to empanel some consultants from Kims hospitals in Muscat and Bahrain as visiting consultants for specialities such as cosmetology, orthodontics, paediatric pulmonology, endocrinology and cardiology.
