Commissioned by Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, the QR1.8bn primary infrastructure works construction package 2 project started in May 2008 and is on schedule to take 43 months to complete, according to an AJP spokesman.
“As we near completion of one of the largest infrastructure and utilities contracts in Qatar, we can look back with pride at our safety record, protecting our workers from harm and helping us deliver on budget and on time,” Ammar Ammar, business development manager for AJP said.
The infrastructure works include roads and infrastructure in an area totalling some 180 hectares at the centre of the Lusail development project, known as Foxhill North and Foxhill South. The scope also consists of constructing six types of roads in a 24km road network; 32km each of drinking water and firefighting networks; 23km of wastewater and 52km of storm water networks; plus an 11km irrigation network.
