Mashreq officials are seen at the centre
Mashreq Qatar employees have visited the centre for senior citizens operated by Qatar Foundation for Elderly People Care as part of its Ramadan activities under the employee engagement programme, the Sawt Qatari Forum.
A key part of Mashreq’s Qatarisation strategy, the Sawt Qatari Forum is designed as a developmental experience-sharing platform, especially for Qatari employees to discuss ways for better engagement within the organisation and externally.
Mashreq Qatar Country head Howard Kitson said: “During Ramadan, it’s very necessary to connect with different segments of the community. We value the life-experiences, wisdom and the affection of our elders. At Mashreq Qatar, we are committed to take forward our relationship with the community we operate in.”
During the visit, which included an interactive session, some useful items were gifted to the elderly.
Mashreq Qatar HR manager Ayesha al-Kuwari said: “This experience has definitely brought our employees closer to society and the Sawt Qatari Forum shaped by our executive management involves initiatives which will help connect, inform and empower our Qatari employees. The visit has enriched our employees’ life experiences in teaching them how to serve our elders better and raising general awareness of the essential needs of the elderly.”
The Qatar Foundation for Elderly People Care centre is a home for seniors with social, health, economic and rehabilitative aspects of their life in an Islamic environment.
